New River Trail State Park features 51 miles of hiking trails near Galax, VA.
Take Exit 14 off of Interstate 77 on to Highway 58 to Galax. Go West on Highway 58 for 10 miles to Galax. You see the New River State Park Sign on your right which is just after crossing the Chestnut Creek Bridge and just before you get to Highway 89 and Main Street.
